ART SHOW. FORESTBURG 100th ANNIVERSARY


Forestburg  Alberta is celebrating  its 100th Anniversary from August 2-4, 2019.

In keeping with connecting the Battle River Lt. Government of Alberta Arts Awards with the anniversary, a special contribution to local and regional arts will be presented by Joe Hartung and Bill Webb.

Joe Hartung is an exceptional photographer who will have a theme display showing of 24 photos mounted on canvas called Eye to Eye With Wildlife. The display of 20X 30 and 16 X20 photos mounted will be displayed in the refurbished Forestburg Railway Station. They can be purchased. Joe will be on site to answer questions about his techniques. He is willing to share his knowledge. Joe’s photographs are frequently purchased by the local newspaper along with Meta Data write ups. Joe has a love of the outdoors and a passion for wildlife and domestic animals. . His photos on canvas resemble paintings and capture the intricate details. Joe also has photographs from the Blanket Ceremony held in Sedgewick.

Bill Webb is a landscape painter and has converted a historic bakery for his studio. He will have his wonderful landscapes  on display at his studio during the reunion.
