Wonderful progress is underway at Maskwacis
ALL of us are thrilled to be part of it . We have much to gain and much to learn from the methods in use at Samson Health Centre. The way in which they are engaging the arts with rituals and symbols to inform and heal is inspiring - and informative.
Our February visit to Samson Health Centre on a cold day, complete with blowing snow and a blizzard, was warm, friendly and inspiring. The visit left us wanting more and an opportunity for others to enjoy a similar experience in neighborliness and shared optimism.
Gathering together with neighbours in these turbulent days is good medicine.
Chief Vern Saddleback
Chief Vern Saddleback and his incredible team consisting of Elesha Buffalo, Stew Schmidt, Steve Skakum and Kim Potts are opening their hearts and doors to each of us on Saturday, March 15 at 1:00 PM to learn more about their dreams, methods, actions and visions of health for all, including improved brain health.
There will be a tour of the beautiful health centre space with explanation about the meanings and ways in which the design is integral with their message and practice.
Tea will be served in keeping with the importance that drinking tea together has in indigenous community.
We will also explore further how and what next steps are for unfolding regional brain initiatives.
-There will be plenty opportunity for discussion and sharing of news, ideas, perspectives, resources and opportunities.

Based on experience after our February visit (when people just wanted to continue visiting!), we invite everyone who wants, to gather afterwards for supper at the Seoul House in Wetaskiwin. The cafe is good for visiting and it has great food (Korean/other).
